Get your Vimo Swim ready for training in less than 5 minutes!

First Steps

Charge Your Device

Place VimoSwim on its charging dock. A full charge takes about 1 hour. The device shows a battery screen with the charge level and estimated time to full while docked.

Power On

Hold the left button for about a second to wake the device. You'll see the Vimo logo and the firmware version on the OLED display. On first boot, the device asks you to pick your language.

Select Program

Open Training in the menu, scroll with the right button, and press the middle button to start a program. 0 Tempo — the classic metronome — is the default and the best place to start.

Set Tempo

On the Tempo screen, use the left/right buttons to adjust the tempo in 0.01s steps. The default setting is 1.30 seconds. Hold a button to scroll fast — it speeds up further after 2 seconds.

Start Training

Press the middle button to start and stop the metronome. The beat is delivered as sound, LED flash, or vibration — whichever signal type you've selected.

Basic Controls

Left Button

Go back in menus, decrease values. Hold for 3 seconds to power off. Also wakes the device from off.

Middle Button

Confirm selections, start/stop the program. Hold for 3 seconds during training to open the program's settings (signal type, tone, and more).

Right Button

Scroll through menus, increase values. Hold any value button to auto-repeat — after 2 seconds it accelerates.

Tips for First Use

The device remembers your last settings when you power it back on, so you don't need to reconfigure each time.
Pick the signal that matches your session: vibration for noisy pools (up to ~9 hours), sound for open water (up to ~7 hours), or LED for the longest battery life (20+ hours).
The screen automatically dims and then sleeps during training to save power. This is normal behavior — the beat keeps going.
