Heart Rate & Sensors
Connect heart rate monitors to Vimo Swim. Bluetooth today, ANT+ on the roadmap.
Vimo connects to Bluetooth heart rate monitors today. ANT+ sensor support (Garmin heart rate, cadence, and speed) is on the roadmap. The radio hardware is already ANT+ capable.
Heart Rate over Bluetooth (Available Now)
Connect any standard Bluetooth (BLE) heart rate strap directly to the device:
Enable Your Strap
Put on your heart rate strap and make sure it's active (refer to the strap's manual).
Open the Connect Menu
On your Vimo Swim, go to Connect → Heart Rate.
Pair
The device scans for nearby heart rate monitors and connects.
Verify
Check that your heart rate is displayed on the device.
Use Cases
- Keep an eye on your heart rate during sets
- Track cardiovascular load across a session
- Pair effort with tempo for smarter pacing
ANT+ / Garmin Sensors (Coming Soon)
ANT+ support is in active development. The nRF52 radio inside Vimo Swim supports ANT+ natively, and firmware groundwork for Garmin heart rate, cadence, and speed sensors is already in place. It will be enabled in a future firmware update.
Garmin ANT+ HR straps for real-time heart rate display.
Cadence data for pace synchronization and rhythm optimization.
Speed data for comprehensive performance analysis.
Planned Enhancements
Automatic tempo adjustment based on real-time heart rate data.
Combine data from multiple sensors for comprehensive analysis.
Alerts when your heart rate leaves a target zone.
