Built for Swimmers by Swimmers
Building the future of swim pace training
We're swimmers and coaches who got tired of outdated tempo trainers. So we're building a better one.
The problem we're solving
Cyclists and runners train on rich data. Swimmers dive in and go blind, and the amateurs who'd improve most get the least feedback of all.
Swimming is blind
Cyclists have power meters. Runners have advanced running dynamics. Swimmers push off the wall and go blind. Watches track time and distance, but nothing about how you actually move.
90% technique, zero feedback
Swimming is won on technique, not raw power. Yet amateurs repeat the same mistakes thousands of times, with nothing in the water telling them what's wrong.
Coaching is a luxury
The only real fix is a private coach or pro video analysis: expensive, hard to schedule, out of reach for 95% of swimmers. Expert feedback became a luxury good.
Our answer
Start with rhythm
Vimo's smart metronome teaches the one thing every great swimmer shares — rhythm and economy of movement. The foundation of efficient swimming, from day one.
Then, full-body data
Next come sensors on the wrists and hips — a connected network that builds a real-time 3D model of your stroke, moving lab-grade biomechanics onto your body.
A coach on every lap
Out of the water, Vimo tells you exactly what to fix — “your tempo dropped because your hips sank.” Invisible mistakes become visible, and progress measurable.

How we work
Swimmer-first design
We prototype in the pool and listen to coaches early.
Precision & clarity
Tempo should be obvious, predictable, and easy to trust.
Continuous iteration
We ship updates and improve quickly with user feedback.
