Vimo FIT Stitch
Merge and repair FIT files from interrupted sessions.
Still being built. This app is in active development. There is nothing to download yet — leave us a note and we will tell you the moment it ships.
Vimo FIT Stitch joins broken swim recordings back together. A watch that died mid-session, a workout you stopped by accident at the wall, a lake swim split across two files — drop the pieces in and get one clean FIT file back, with the timeline, laps and totals sewn up properly.
A swim that records as three fragments is a swim that never shows up correctly in your log. Re-uploading the pieces separately triples your session count and wrecks your weekly totals, so most people just delete them. Stitch is the smaller, less annoying fix.
What it will do
Planned for the first release
Scope can still move — if something here matters to you, say so and it moves up.
Merge split recordings
Chain two or more FIT files from the same session into one continuous activity, in the right order.
Repair truncated files
Rebuild the headers and checksums a flat battery leaves behind, so the file opens instead of erroring.
Keep laps intact
Lap and length records survive the merge — your set structure is still there on the other side.
Fix the gap
Choose whether the pause between files counts as rest or is closed up, and watch the totals update.
Preview before you save
See the stitched timeline, distance and duration first. Nothing is written until you say so.
Originals untouched
Runs locally and always writes a new file. Your source recordings are never modified or uploaded.
